The Erling-Persson Family Foundation

KI receives a new meeting place

The Erling-Persson Family Foundation has decided to donate SEK 350 million to Karolinska Institutet for the establishment of a meetings forum on its Solna campus.

The new 1,000-seat auditorium will be an attractive place for researchers, students and the general public to gather for a wide variety of purposes, from Nobel lectures to the training of future healthcare workers.

“We’re proud of Karolinska Institutet, as I think all Swedes should be,” says foundation chair Stefan Persson, member of Karolinska Institutet’s fundraising committee. “The university does important work for Sweden and the rest of the world. That is why we in the Erling-Persson Family Foundation have now decided to make this donation.”
