The Hagströmer Library, Visiting and Opening Hours

The Hagströmer Library has more than 150,000 books and journals in medicine, anatomy, pharmacy, natural history, biology, chemistry and other areas of knowledge related to medicine. The oldest books are from the 1480s, but the collection's emphasis is on the period 1600-1990.

Reading room opening hours: 

During 2025 The reading room will be open on Wednesdays 0900 - 12.00. 

Please Note: The reading room closed on the following dates: Feb., 12, April 16, April 30, and May 28.

The library closes for Holidays on June 19 and opens again on August 27, 2025.

Drop-in is possible, but you will get better service if you contact us in advance. For questions about research visits and requests for digitalization of research material contact us on hagstromerlibrary@ki.se.

 

Tours of the Hagströmer Library 

We also offer guided tours onsite or via video link (zoom or teams). The price for both is the same. More details of this on request.
