Jag är professor i pediatrik vid Karolinska Institutet sedan 2011.

Jag är barnonkolog med särskilt intresse för hjärntumörer.

Sedan 2016 är jag vice prefekt vid Institutionen för kvinnors och barns hälsa.

Forskningsbeskrivning

Min forskning handlar om skada och läkning i den växande hjärnan och vi har funnit att den unga, växande hjärnan reagerar mycket annorlunda när den skadas jämfört med en vuxen hjärna. Vårt mål är att minimera effekterna av en skada och att stimulera de läkningsmekanismer som finns.
