I am an Associate Professor at the Karolinska Institutet, Stockholm, Sweden. I got my basic education in Statistics and obtained a Ph.D in Geriatric Epidemiology (2001) and had postdoctoral training in Cardiovascular Epidemiology (2004).
My major research field is epidemiology of neurodegenerative diseases and I have research experience in epidemiological studies on cardiovascular disease. I have published 40 original studies in peer-reviewed international journals. My major contribution to research concerns the following topics:
Lifestyle factors and cognitive dysfunction.
Psychosocial factors and cognitive dysfunction.
Psychosocial factors and progression of cardiovascular disease.
