I am a statistician with a PhD in Medical Science, Epidemiology at the Karolinska Institutet. I am involved in several projects, both in close collaboration with doctoral students and senior scientists, as well as with colleagues from other universities (University of Brescia, Radboud University Nijmegen, and Maastricht University). Since 2007 I have been part of the organizational and faculty team (mainly professors from Harvard University and Karolinska Institutet) of the international Summer School on Modern Methods in Biostatistics and Epidemiology.
Doctoral Degree in Medical Science, Epidemiology, 2013. Karolinska Institutet
My research activity focuses on investigating the most relevant factors that lead to longer survival. I am exploring the role of health, lifestyle, social environment, and genetic background in the probability of reaching a very advanced age.
