PHSP seminar: Policy dialogues to bridge the research-to-policy gap
The Doctoral Programme in Public Health Science (PHSP) welcomes all doctoral students and researchers at KI to seminar 3 from our series From evidence to policy, with seminar leader Olivia Biermann.
In this seminar, you will get a better understanding of knowledge translation, evidence-informed health policy-making, as well as WHO’s EVIPNet and its activities.
You will become familiar with the different steps in implementing a policy dialogue – from the preparation (incl. stakeholder mapping), to their facilitation and follow-up.
About the seminar leader
After graduating in Global Health at KI and working as a research assistant at PHS and LIME, Olivia Biermann joined the World Health Organization (WHO) Regional Office for Europe in Copenhagen in 2014 as a consultant in knowledge translation and evidence-informed policy-making.
She supports WHO’s Evidence-informed Policy Network (EVIPNet) and its activities in Central/Eastern Europe and Central Asia. Recently, EVIPNet’s activities in Estonia led to a tax on sugary drinks that will be introduced in 2018 to tackle obesity.
To attend the seminar, register by May 2 to firstname.lastname@example.org
