The history of anatomical illustration provides an execptionally fascinating world of images. Andreas Vesalius (1541-1564) book Fabrica printed in 1543, is a watershed in that it completely surpasses the previous schematic medieval figures with vividly detailed images of the human body. The Fabrica is the first in a series of illustrated anatomical atlases, where the authors relentlessy tried to excel each other with anatomical knowledge and thought-provoking illustrations.

A sandwich and drink will be provided for free.

Please sign up no later than 14th of May. Note that this seminar will be held in English.
