At our department, public health-related research projects are conducted with the aim to understand the aetiology of different diseases as well as developing and evaluating public health interventions. The department has twelve research groups conducting research at KI.

Centre for Tuberculosis Research
The overall mission of the Centre for Tuberculosis Research is to stimulate and facilitate the interactions between TB researchers at KI with different research focus.

The Centre for Health Crises
The centre enhances and improves KI’s ability to face health threats. The idea is to be of assistance to society in times of a crisis, through multi-disciplinary research, education, and expertise in different health emergency areas.
