Robert Lundberg Memorial Foundation
The Board of Research hereby invites applications for research and travel grants from the Robert Lundberg Memorial Foundation.
The purpose of the foundation is to promote scientific research in the field of tumour diseases, especially cancer. Research into the care of cancer patients may also be granted funding. Applications may be made for grants for research and/or study trips.
Applications are invited from doctoral students at Karolinska Institutet, who have completed their half-time review, but has not yet earned their Ph.D degree. Grants for more than one year will be awarded in exceptional cases only.
Awarded grants varies between 10,000 and 50,000 SEK per person.
Applications must be submitted digitally. The online form will be available through KI Prisma during the application period, April 3 – 17, 2018. The application period closes 2.00 pm.
Decision of grant will be taken by the Board of Research. All applicants will be notified by e-mail in June.
For those who apply for travel grants, one or more of the following documents should be attached:
- Confirmation that an abstract has been submitted or accepted
- Personal invitation to a congress or institution
- A letter from the supervisor confirming completion of the half time review, the purpose of the trip and the role of the applicant on this trip.
As from 2018, a report on the usage of the granted funds will be required. After the end of the term, you will need to login to Prisma and confirm whether you have used the money, or at least have started using the money, or not. If you have not used the money at all during the disposition period, these should be returned to the Foundations and Funds.
Reports are submitted via Prisma about 12 months after the money has been paid, except for travel benefits where reporting takes place approximately one month after the end of the term. You will receive an email notification when it is time to report.
