In January, the planned relocation to the new BioClinicum research facility was postponed due to network disruption. A new date for taking occupancy has now been set. The first stage of relocation will begin in March, with the remaining researchers moving in during May.

After an upgrade to the network, the relocation to the newly-constructed BioClinicum at New Karolinska Solna can now be implemented. Hundreds of research groups from various departments of the hospital and Karolinska Institutet will be gathered in the new research building.

On 20 and 21 March, approximately 100 staff from three research teams will move into floors 6, 7, 9 and 10 of BioClinicum. The remaining researchers, some 700 in total working in five different fields, will relocate between 14-25 May. The new research facility will then be operational and open to staff, conference delegates and visitors.
