Defibrillators at Karolinska Institutet

CPR with defibrillation can save lives with sudden cardiac arrest. Several defibrillaors are placed all over campus.

The use of cardiopulmonary resuscitation, CPR, and defibrillator is recommended as the first treatment for sudden cardiac arrest. Defibrillator sends a controlled electric shock through a person's heart and reset the heart's activity, so it starts again. Last year, University administration bought a number of defibrillators being deployed at KI. They are placed here:

Campus Solna
