The Scandinavian Society for Immunology (SSI) meeting in Turku, Finland

10-13 May 2016; 43rd Scandinavian Society for Immunology meeting, Turku, Finland

We are delighted to welcome you to the 43rd Scandinavian Society for Immunology meeting. The meeting will present cutting-edge research in immunology from basic aspects to translational studies. We will focus this year on the recent exciting discoveries in novel approaches in immune regulation and emerging understanding on the interaction of our immune system and microbiota. You will be thrilled about the far reaching impact of these findings on the treatment of cancer, autoimmune diseases as well as obesity and other seemingly metabolic diseases.

Importantly, the meeting will provide an opportunity for young scientists to meet the leading experts and present their own work as oral presentations and as posters.

Abstract submission opens: January 7, 2016
Abstract submission deadline: February 15, 2016
Letters of approval to be sent: February 29, 2016

The Organizing Committee

XIV European Symposium on Platelet and Granolycyte Immunology, Stockholm, Sweden

On May 26-28 2016, Agneta Wikman and Petter Höglund organize an international conference in Stockholm, focusing on platelets and granulocytes.

Among the conference topics, you will find basic aspects of these cells in relation to immunity, such as autoimmune neutropenia and thrombocytopenia, HLA-immunizations, and autoantibody formation and detection.

If you are interested in these cell types in relation to immunity in general, this conference might be of interest for you!

The deadline for abstract submission is Feb 14.

A preliminary program and specific information about abstract submission and registration can be found on the conference website:

With best regards,

Petter Höglund

13th Key Symposium 2016: Bioelectronic medicine - Technology Targeting Molecular Mechanisms, New York, USA

21-23 September 2016, New York, USA

The 13th Key Symposium 2016: Bioelectronic Medicine — Technology Targeting Molecular Mechanisms, will convene thought leaders who have the potential to explore, define, and create this new field. Session topics include: Defining Circuits, Cell Biology and Cancer, Molecular Sensing, Clinical Updates, Brain Interfaces, Processing the Future, and Funding the Field. By harnessing the power of technology spanning disciplines from microfluidics to computer processing to molecular technology, we step closer to the promise of bioelectronic medicine — to naturally reproduce a drug’s therapeutic reaction by mobilizing the body’s natural reflexes to develop effective, safe and economical alternatives to pills and injectables.
