About the BIC constellation

The Biomedicum Imaging Core – BIC – is a close collaboration of two cell imaging facilities situated at the Solna (north Stockholm) campus of Karolinska Institutet. In 2018, we will move in to the new, purpose-built facility for experimental medical research Biomedicum, at which time we will fully integrate our core facilities.

The BIC constellation include the CLICK microscope facility, Department of Medical Biochemistry and Biophysics, and the CMB microscope facility, Department of Cell and Molecular Biology. Recently, the BIC constallation also initiated a collaboration with the Live Cell Imaging (LCI) facility situated at the Flemmingsberg (south Stockholm) campus of Karolinska Institutet.

What we offer

CLICK offers access to imaging systems that are suitable for live cell-, deep tissue-, ion-, spectral-, confocal or general fluorescence imageing. The facility can also provide processing and analysis software. The CMB microscope facility offers fluorescence microscopes for fixed tissues and live cell imaging. The facility also offrers a system that can be used for high throughput image aquisition and analysis suitable for screening assays.
