WORKSHOP: Interrupted time-series analysis to assess the impact of interventions
2016-04-1113:00 to 15:30 Lecture room Sterky 4th floor, Widerströmska buildingCampus Solna
All PhD students and researchers at KI are most welcome to a seminar held by Nicola Orsini, Associate Professor of Medical Statistics
Abstract: We start by describing a longitudinal interventional study intended to change antibiotic prescribing behaviour. Surveillance prescribing data were collected one-year prior to intervention and will be re-evaluated for another year after 6 months intervention. We will interactively discuss the statistical methods and modelling issues for such designs. We will start by looking at a single-group analysis and then extend the concepts to multiple-group analysis. Real examples will be illustrated in class and practical code made available over the web.
About Nicola: His main areas of research are methods for the analysis of timing of health outcomes and synthesis of information across different sources. He has extensive experience in teaching biostatistical methods and very well known for disseminating user-friendly statistical software components.
