I have a MSc in Epidemiology and a MSc in European Public Health from Maastricht University and joined the team of Child and Adolescent Epidemiology as PhD student in March 2013. During my multidisciplinary PhD studies, I will evaluate the effectiveness and cost-effectiveness of a childhood obesity prevention trial (PRIMROSE). I will embed the evaluation within the societal perspective of obesity prevention.
Before that I have worked as researcher on a large project on cross-border health care in the European Union. The focus of my research was on patient mobility, patient choice, quality assurance and discharge management.
My research interests are: prevention of childhood obesity, cost-effectiveness of prevention, economic and societal consequences of (childhood) obesity, health politics, health equity and patient empowerment.
