I am a medical doctor and graduated from Uppsala University in 1996. My specialities are clinical pharmacology & family medicine.
As a clinician, my work has been mainly in the field of internal medicine, general practice and geriatrics.
I am involved in clinical research since 2001. I have worked in the early stages of drug development as a clinical pharmacology physician, and in the later stages of drug development as an investigator. My experiences are from Academia as well as the Life Science industry, mainly in the fields of cardiometabolic, cardiovascular and neuroscience research.
As an information officer and a member of Norrbotten County pharmaceutical committee, I have been responsible for authoring therapy recommendations in neurology, e.g. neuropathic and chronic non-malignant pain.
I teach clinical pharmacology for resident physicians on a regular basis.
As of January 2018, I am a Lic candidate at NVS. The general aim is to study Sex-and Gender Differences in drug metabolism with a focus on statins & vitamin D. My most recent publication concerns differences in discontinuation of statin treatment in women and men with advanced cancer disease.
