Faisal Alagrafi
About me
Faisal had a bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry in 2008 from King Saud university. In 2016, He got MSc degree of Science in Cell Biology, Genetics, and Histology from King Saud University. During his MSc, Faisal research focused on exploring new compounds of plant origin that modulate stem cell differentiation and proliferation, mainly from traditional medicinal plants. He joined the Uhlin group at Karolinska Institutet as a PhD student in 2020. The main objective of his PhD study is to characterize both reconstitution and development of γδ T cells after hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT) with their correlation to clinical outcome. Particularly to analyze the γδ T cells immunophenotypically, repertoire, and functionality of transplanted patients in the long-term aspect and at different time points. Another area of his study focuses on Bispecific T cell engager antibody (BiTE) as a therapeutic agent for haematological cancer treatment.
