About me

I received my BSC in Biology from Shiraz University in 2007 ( First honor student), where I investigated Cadmium pollution on female  rat reproductive system in laboratory of Professor Monsefi . I perused my Master degree in animal cell developmental biology at Shiraz University investigating in transplantation of Mesenchaymal stem cells in sterilized male rat for clinical purposes of males with cancer that get unfertilized because of chemical therapy with Busulfan ( as a cancer drug) in Prof. Monsefi lab in biology department, Shiraz University and  stem cells lab at anatomy department of Shiraz Medical school, supervision of Professor Talaei,  succefully defended with GPA 19.75 out 20 on November 2009. 

In 2010 I received DAAD scholarship and began perusing my PhD in biology at the University of Goettingen, Germany, in German Primate Center, Department of Stem cell Biology, in Professor Dr.Behr lab. My research focus on In situ and In vitro analysis of germ and stem cell marker-positive cells in the postnatal ovary of common marmoset monkey (Callithrix jacchus).  For the first time I introduced the marmoset monkey as a suitable non-human primate model to experimentally study germ cell biology in vivo and successfully established novel primate ovarian cell culture developing long term oocyte-like cells (OLCs) and in collaboration of Microarray and Deep-Sequencing Core Facility, University Medical Center Goettingen performed Comparative transcriptome (bulk RNA seq) analysis of the novel cultured system from different passages.  I successfully defended my dissertation on July 2014.

In 2015 I got Marie-curie fellowship award in Epigenetic Training Network - Innovative techniques and models to understand epigenetic regulation in the pathogenesis of common diseases (EPITRAIN),  I studied on DNA methylation on single cell level in sarcomas and oocytes at company TATAA biocentre, Gothenburg and secondment in Cambridge University , Babraham Institute ,Cambridge,  UK in Dr. Kelsey Lab, then  I continue my postdoc in epigenetic study ChIP-qPCR and ChIP- seq in myxoid liposarcoma at Cancer center, University of Gothenburg in  professor Åman lab. I also worked with Patient-derived xenograft (PDX)model using humanized mice, transplanted subcutaneously MLS tomur to immunodeficient mice and performed IP injection of cancer stem cells in immunodeficient mice. I also Inovloved in the project of cancer stem cells in MLS tomur.

In  2018 I began my post-doctoral research at Karolinska Institute, Division for Neurogeriatrics in single cell sequencing of spider silk ( Nephila Clavipes)  and also involved in the project  genome assembly of the Europian garden spider(Araneus Diadematus).

Research description

2018       Single cell sequencing of major ampullary glands from Nephila Clavipes, established dissociation system for 10x Chromium( SciLife Lab).

2016-2018 Cancer Center, Department of Pathology, University of Gothenburg. epigenetic study in MLS (myxoid liposarcoma), I established Chromatin Immunoprecipitation (ChIP) coupled with quantitative PCR to investigate the mechanism behind transcriptional regulation of SERPINB2  by the FUS-DDIT3 fusion oncoprotein from transfected HT1080 fibrosarcoma cells. Established ChIP-seq for the FET oncogenes and Interactions with SWI/SNF protein complex in MLS. worked with Patient-derived xenograft (PDX)model, transplanted subcutaneously MLS tomur to immunodeficient mice and performed IP injection of cancer stem cells in immunodeficient mice.Involved in JAK-STAT signalling controls cancer stem cell the project in MLS tomur.

2015-2016  single cell Bisulfite sequencing method in sarcomas and immature and maturehuman oocyte on single cell level and sequencing with NextSeq500 .TATAA Biocenter company, Gothenburg, Sweden, Secondment in Epigenetics Department, Babraham Institute, Cambridge Univesrity, Cambridgein Dr.Kelsey lab and collaboration with bioinformatic department Dr.Krueger for bioinformatic analysis with Bismark software.

2010- 2014 PhD project, Stem Cell Biology Unit, German Primate Center,Leibniz Institute for Primate Research, Goettingen, Germany. Supervisor: Prof. Dr. Rüdiger Behr. I used Immunohistochemistry and qPCR methods with pluripotency markers for recognizing oogonia subpopulation in neonatal  marmoset monkey and established novel long- term culture system  from primary cell culture of the neonatal ovaries for developing long term oocyte-like cells  (OLCs), using molecular and cell culture, microscopy techniques.Comparative transcriptome (bulk RNA seq) analysis of the cultured cells with different  passage colonies neonatal ovary, embryonic stem cells, and fibroblasts

2007- 2009   M.Sc. Thesis: “Using mesenchymal stem cells for regenerating seminiferous tubules in sterile male rats” Shiraz University and Stem cell laboratory, Anatomy, Department, Shiraz Medical University, Shiraz that was a transplantation study using IHC, animal experiments, surgery on rat, isolation of mesenchymal stem cells from tibia and femur, culturing MSC cells and flowcytometry techniques. Histological techniques, perfusion, statistical analysis with SPSS

2006- 2007   Project “effect of cadmium pollution in female rat’s reproductive system”, used animal experiment on rats, k gavage, IP injection,blood collection from artery and heart, surgery techniques, removing ovaries and uterus, Vaginal pop smear for detecting reproductive cycles, Histological techniques perfusion, IHC, statistical analysis with SPSS, Hormonal assay (Estradiol, Progesterone) with ELISA. with financial support from Shiraz University office of “Elited students”.
