Ethics seminar: Plagiarism – always fraud?
The Ethics Council at Karolinska Institutet organizes an Ethics seminar: Plagiarism – always fraud ?
Plagiarism is a growing concern in academia and is haunting many scientific journals. But before strict policies are laid down, it has to be made clear what ways to present research findings are reprehensible and what ways are acceptable. Do we face another "clash of cultures", where ideas from the humanities and social sciences are applied to medical research in a way that hinders rather than promotes good scientific conduct?
- Anders Gustafsson, professor, dean, Board of Doctoral Education
- Gert Helgesson, associate professor in medical ethics
- Hugo Lagercrantz, professor, editor, Acta Paediatrica
- Moderator: Niels Lynöe, chairman, Ethics council
Mingling with refreshments afterwards.
All are warmly welcome !
