KIVIF - The move to Biomedicum
The move to Biomedicum
Since we are soon moving to Biomedicum and KIVIF merges with BIC (Biomedicum Imaging Core) you have to be registered in the online booking system PPMS. Please create an account on this website
Bookmark the link. Check that "BIC" is selected on the top right corner, then choose this option "Your institution is Karolinska Institutet". Fill out the form (Account number: ZZ code of the group). If your group is not in the list then also fill out the group form. Submit the form. Once you have done this, write an email to firstname.lastname@example.org and state on which microscope from the list below you are trained on so that I can give you the "user rights" and cross check with my files.
list of the systems that will move to BIC (Biomedicum Imaging Core)
- Imaging Analysis (IMARIS) (B322 (MTC))
- Leica DMRE (Right) Fluo, upright (B321 (MTC))
- Leica TCS Confocal SP5 (B317 (MTC))
- Leica TCS SP5 STED (B220 (MTC))
- Zeiss Axio Observer Z1, PALM (B319 (MTC))
- Zeiss Axio Observer Z1, TIRF, FRAP (B317 (MTC))
After you have registered
Marc Panas will validate your request and give you the "user rights" for the microscopes that you are trained on. It can happen that some PPMS emails end up in the "SPAM folder", so please check this as well. If you already have a PPMS account then write an email to email@example.com and state on which microscope from the list below you are trained on so that I can give you the "user rights" and cross check with my files.
Once you logged in you will see the KIVIF pricelist. Please read it and click continue. On the main page you will find the menu bar. Under "book" you can book the system that you are already trained on. If you need a training then go to "Request" and click "Request for access to specific imaging system/s" A new window will pop up and under MTC (KIVIF) you will find the MTC systems. Click the microscope that you want to be trained on and submit.
We will still continue with the old MTC paper booking system till we move. But after the move to Biomedicum you must use the online booking system and therefore your information should be registered in the system. We don't know yet how we will carry out bookings with the systems that aren't moving to BIC, such as the ZEISS Axiovert 200M Epifluorescence.
Thank you very much for your time and effort. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact me:
