Exposure and risk assessment of persistent pollutants in food and water
Many persistent environmental pollutants such as PCBs, dioxines and methylmercury are bioaccumulating in the food chain. Projects within this scope concern characterization of individual exposures through foods for the purpose of estimating various health risks for different groups of the population. This project is a joint venture between epidemiologists (nutritional epidemiology) and toxicologists.
