Shu Su is student at the one-year Global Health Master's programme. Global health combines expertise and knowledge from disciplines such as public health, medicine, epidemiology, political science, health economics and anthropology, among others. She carefully considered where to study, and found Karolinska Institute to fit her criteria of studying at a top university:
I picked Karolinska Institutet for my master's studies because of its international reputation and high ranking.
One of her best memories from her first semester at Karolinska Institutet is a lecture by Dr. Hans Rosling, professor of International Health at Karolinska Institutet:
'Hans Rosling is one of the world's 100 most influential people and his speech gave me inspiration.'
Shu is also one of the Digital ambassadors for Karolinska Institutet. One of her favourite hobbies is writing, and she enjoys sharing her experiences and thoughts about her student life here in Stockholm through two blogs, on Renren (the Chinese version of Facebook) and Sina Weibo (the Chinese version of Twitter), where she writes in Chinese.
Shu believes that this master's degree is a step closer to her dream job for the World Health Organization (WHO), fighting for a better world.
