Diego Yacaman Mendez - Master of Public Health Sciences student from Mexico
I like the progressive view of Public Health Sciences at KI and the philosophy that the world is interconnected and man-made divisions like borders cannot interfere with the scientific understanding of emerging healthcare issues.
Diego is a medical doctor from Mexico and says that whilst moving to Stockholm was hard, the induction week at KI made him feel welcomed and comfortable. His first weeks were full of fun social events, campus tours and excursions organised by the student’s union. He will be posting about all the above and more as one of our Facebook Ambassadors.
Diego thinks that the Master’s of Public Health Sciences is well structured, has committed professors and interesting lectures. However, for him, the best part is exchanging ideas with his diverse and multicultural classmates. In the future, he hopes to contribute to society by helping to improve the health and quality of life for populations around the world.
I hope to become a researcher and physician in a university setting, I have always wanted to do this and being at KI is a great step towards this goal.
