Peter Gasser: LSD-assisted psychotherapy in group format
The Network for Psychedelic Science have the great honor of introducing the Swiss psychiatrist Peter Gasser as guest lecturer at Karolinska Institutet.
With both clinical and preclinical experience, few people in the world can measure up to Peter's overall knowledge in psychedelic therapy. Almost three decades ago, Peter was one of only five doctors legally allowed to use MDMA and LSD in clinical psychotherapy in Switzerland between 1988 and 1993. In 2007, Peter started the first controlled clinical trial with LSD for over 40 years, providing support that LSD can have a good effect on anxiety at the end of life [1,2]. Peter has continued his research on LSD and LSD-Assisted Psychotherapy [3,4], and is currently conducting a study on LSD-assisted psychotherapy in group format.
On October 30th, Peter will give an overview of how to work therapeutically with LSD, as well as sharing preliminary findings from the ongoing study. The lecture is free and no pre-registration required, but the number of seats is limited. Participants are advised to arrive on time to secure a place. Welcome!
