JC in Psychiatry, hosted by CPF
Welcome to the September JC in Psychiatry, hosted by CPF
At this JC, we will discuss an article that is at the forefront of schizophrenia research and because of it’s elegant study design could be of interest also to researches within other fields of psychiatry. Understanding the structural changes and studying the time point when they occur is challenging. This study is a between-group comparison longitudinal study in a unique ultra-high-risk cohort. It is the first study to show significant MRI brain structural change around the time of onset of psychosis.
Title of the article: Progressive brain structural changes mapped as psychosis develops in ‘at risk’ individuals
