Michael Tekle is responsible for the development of methods to determine lipid, protein and DNA oxidation as well as the antioxidant thioredoxin.

He is also responsible for studies on the effects on antioxidants on growth factors and for mechanistic studies on the effect of developed new drugs together with M.B. He is responsible for analyses of CoQ10 and vitamin E in different ethnic populations.
