Magnus Bentinger is responsible for synthesis of new compounds with the ability to stimulate the endogenous antioxidant defence, various naturally occurring polyisoprenoids that are chemically modified.

These synthetic products are purified, characterized and tested in both in vitro and in vivo systems. He is responsible for studies on drug development with focus on the ability to stimulate endogenous antioxidant defence including mechanistic studies and for the analyses of CoQ10 in different organs of diabetic and control mice.
