Om mig

Jag arbetar som samordnare på Jakobsbergs akademiska vårdcentral och som vetenskaplig ledare på FOU nu, en samfinansierad verksamhet mellan Stockholms läns landsting och sju kommuner i nordvästra Stockholm med fokus på forskning och utveckling inom äldrevård och äldreomsorg. Jag undervisar också vid sektionen för Fysioterapi på Karolinska Institutet. Dessa tre befattningar ger mig god möjlighet att kombinera, forskning, utveckling och utbildning.

Utbildning

Jag blev legitimerad sjukgymnast 1991 och tog min kandidatexamen 1999. Jag disputerade vid Karolinska Institutet 2007.

Forskningsbeskrivning

Min forskning har fokuserat på fysisk aktivitet och träning och effekter av detta på sköra äldre personer, både i eget boende, rehabilitering inom geriatrisk slutenvård samt på äldreboenden. Jag har också studerat olika bedömningsinstrument som tex mätning av muskelstyrka, gånghastighet och mer övergripande funktionsmått. Min befattning inom landstinget ger mig bra möjligheter att bedriva kliniskt relevant forskning och ökar möjligheterna för implementering.
