Om mig

Jag är professor i yrkes- och miljödermatologi vid Institutet för miljömedicin (IMM) och överläkare vid Centrum för arbets- och miljömedicin i Stockholms läns landsting. 1999 startade jag forskargruppen vid Institutionen för medicin i Solna, som sedan 2009 är en enhet vid IMM. Jag har också arbetat vid det tidigare Arbetslivsinstitutet.

Forskning, klinisk verksamhet och riskbedömning har varit mina huvudsakliga områden. Min forskning gäller arbets- och miljörelaterade hudsjukdomar, framför allt kontaktallergi och farlig hudexponering. Jag har haft flera expertuppdrag för bl.a. EU, OECD och Kemikalieinspektionen om riskbedömning och prevention. Forskningen kring allergiframkallande metaller har haft avgörande betydelse för att minska risken för allergi mot nickel.
