About Jay A. Nadel

Professor Jay Nadel is a giant in Respiratory Medicine. He has as physiologist contributed to define many fundamental mechanisms with relevance to asthma and other diseases, as well as normal function of the lungs. Jay Nadel has since the late 1950s been based in San Francisco and he has probably trained more fellows who have become next generation leaders in research than anyone else.

This CfA symposium is arranged in collaboration by his former fellows Lars-Olaf Cardell, Pär Stjärne and Anders Lindén. After Jay Nadel has given his perspective on the developments in lung research over the past half century, his pupils will show how their careers have been inspired by their training with him. The symposium will altogether bring us accounts on exciting new research as well as the implications of older work!

Coffee served from 14:30. Welcome!
