Explaining differences in European health care outcomes, performance and efficiency
Join us for this complimentary seminar to learn of and discuss the results from the four-year EuroHOPE-project on performance measurement in health care across seven European countries.
Remarkable differences in performance between countries, regions and hospitals are revealed. From a health care policy perpective, insights are offered on the factors behind the differences.
The main purpose of the seminar is to communicate the findings of the project to policy-makers, and to discuss among the experts the relevance, policy implications and transferability of the results. Leaders from the study partners behind this multidisciplinary research project will highlight the findings on the care of acute myocardial infarction (AMI), stroke, hip fracture, breast cancer and very-low-birth-weight infants. The costs of hospital care are weighed against quality among Nordic countries. Also, a panel consisting of leading health care experts and decision makers will discuss the outstanding findings of EuroHOPE with a view to future steps in researching health care performance. Physical sustenance will be provided in the shape of a buffet lunch, while the seminar will conclude with cocktails. For more information, see the program.
