Theme Center for Regenerative Medicine
Karolinska Institutet has together with Stockholm county council established a theme center which is connected to the Strategic programme in stem cells and regenerative medicine.
In the Center for Regenerative Medicine, Karolinska Institutet will bring together leading basic and clinical research in neural and hematopoietic research. The research will address important medical questions that are beyond the reach of the individual research group.
The Center plans to focus on three major disease areas: Parkinson's disease, multiple sclerosis (MS) and blood diseases that can be cured by allogeneic stem cell transfer.
