Competence Center of Neurodevelopmental Disorders

Karolinska Institutet Center of Neurodevelopmental Disorders (KIND) is a competence center for research, development and education within the area of developmental psychopathology, including psychiatric and neurologic conditions.

Autism spectrum disorders and ADHD represent some of the common conditions within KIND's scope.

KIND is a center established in collaboration between Karolinska Institutet and Stockholm County Council.

Director is Professor Sven Bölte.

Susan Young lectures May 31st, 2013

Susan Young , Clinical Senior Lecturer in Forensic Clinical Psychology, Institute of Psychiatry, Kings College London , visits KIND. She will lecture about "RAPID: a cognitive-behavioural, psychoeducational group programme for children with ADHD". Friday May 31, 2013, 14:00-15:00. Gävlegatan 22B, level 8. Registration required.

Susan Swedo visits Center for Psychiatry Research and KIND

Professor Susan Swedo gives the lecture "The destiny of Asperger's and other surprises in the neurodevelopmental disorders umbrella of DSM", Stockholm Psychiatry lectures, March 19. On March 20 she participates in the KIND workshop "Pediatric Autoimmune Neuropsychiatric Disorders Associated with Streptococcal Infections PANDAS".

KIND will move!

February 20th 2013 KIND will move to a new location at Gävlegatan 22B. A clinical research center (CAP, Child & Adolescent Psychiatry Research Center) will be initiated in collaboration with CPF BUP and BUP FUNK.

Post Doc at KIND gets a prize from the Royal Academy

The prize to a younger researcher in psychology year 2012, was awarded to Terje Falck-Ytter at KIND.

Best poster award at EABCT

Neuropsychologist Tatja Hirvikoski at KIND was awarded Best potser at the European Association for Behavioural and Cognitve Therapies, EABCT, 2012 Congress in Geneve, Switserland, Psychotherapy and Neuroscience: Evidence and Challenges for CBT.
