First cycle education
The department has first cycle education within the study programme in Medicine as well as Nursing.
Second cycle education
The ambulance training program for nurses is situated at the department.
Third cycle education
There are today approximately 75 registered PhD students at the department. It is mainly a clinical department but there is also preclinical research in the diabetes and stroke field.
