Grading scales at Karolinska Institutet
Grading scales
At Karolinska Institutet there are three types of grading scales:
- G/U (Pass/Fail)
- VG/G/U (Pass with distinction/Pass/Fail)
- A-F (definitions below)
All grading scales are criterion-referenced.
Exchange students' performance will be graded in accordance with the A-F grading scale and on the basis of the students' fulfillment of the learning outcomes stated in the course syllabus.
Please note that a re-sit in order to raise a passing grade is not permitted.
The following definitions apply for the A-F grading scale:
