Seminar: U-CARE: Psychosocial support in somatic disease given through Internet

Uppsala University Psychosocial Care Program (U-CARE) is an interdisciplinary research program at Uppsala University. The overarching mission is to evaluate programs to prevent and reduce psychosocial distress in patients and their loved ones in connection with somatic disease.

This will be done through a series of clinical trials, starting in 2012. In this seminar, we outline the U-CARE program, and provide some examples of psychological interventions and the technical platform that is designed and appropriated to support the interaction between therapists and patients.
