International conference 2012

Travel and accomodation

We ask participants to plan their trip so that they arrive in Stockholm on Sunday 3 June or Saturday 2 June (please see information regarding hotel reservations below). The conference ends at 4.30 PM on Tuesday 5 June and we kindly ask participants to adjust their travel arrangements accordingly.

Airport transportation

There are two airports near Stockholm: Stockholm Arlanda and Skavsta. Arlanda is located 25 km north of the city. Skavsta is located approximately 100 km south of the city.

There is an express train from Arlanda, which leaves every 20 minutes and takes you to the Stockholm Central station

Alternatively you can take an airport coach from Arlanda to Stockholm Central station.

Should you choose to travel by taxi, the journey takes about 40 minutes (depending on traffic). All taxis from Arlanda to the city centre charge a fixed price of approximately 450 SEK per journey. No added charges are permitted on top of the fixed price.

If you are travelling from Skavsta, you can take an airport coach to Stockholm Central station. A single ticket costs 149 SEK, a return ticket costs 259 SEK. If you choose to travel by taxi from Skavsta to the city the journey will take 60 minutes. The cost will be approximately 1300 SEK.

More information about the airport coaches can be found here:

Public transport

Public transport in Stockholm is very well organized and there are buses, subway trains and commuter trains which will take you anywhere you like to go. Please visit:

Hotels

There are other big events taking place in Stockholm during the same dates as the conference. In order to secure accommodation for the participants of this conference, the organizing committee has made preliminary reservations of a number of rooms at three hotels. Participants are asked to make their own reservations. Travel and accommodation is not included in the conference fee. Please feel free to look for other alternatives online.
