Nanjing Medical University (NMU) is a comprehensive university in Nanjing, originally established in Zhenjiang City 1934. NMU comprises two major campuses, Wutai campus and Jiangning campus. Wutai campus is the educational centre for scientific research activities and postgraduate education.
NMU reaches approximately 10 000 students annually with its 14 schools. The schools are; the School of Basic Medical Sciences, the First School of Clinical Medicine, the Second School of Clinical Medicine, the Third School of Clinical Medicine, the School of Gulou Clinical Medicine, the School of Stomatology, the School of Public Health, the School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, the School of Nursing, the School of Medical Policy and Management, the School of International Education, the Kangda School, the School of Continuing Education, and the School of Higher Vocational and Technical Education.
NMU also has 17 affiliated hospitals, and more than 30 teaching hospitals. The universities medical education sponsors five to seven-years programs for a wide range of medical professional careers.
NMU has one key laboratory at ministry level, two key laboratories co-established by the ministry and the provincial government, seven provincial key laboratories and research centres. More then 1400 faculty members are registered at NMU, including more than 150 full professors and 400 associate professors.
Internationally the University has established a very widespread exchange network with academic communities, including universities, research centers and hospitals from all over the world. Currently NMU has three postdoctoral programs.
KI and NMU have an incorporated programme for postdoctoral training.
