Multidisciplinary conference in Torino, Italy, July 2-7 2010 - join us there!

Are you spending the beginning of July at the beaches of the French Riviera, or maybe being cultural in a northern Italian village? Maybe you don't even have plans for this period of the summer? Then you should definitively swing by Euroscience Open Forum (ESOF), this year in Torino, Italy, for a couple of days. ESOF will begin on the evening the 2nd of July and is filled with interesting seminars, workshops and lectures from top scientists and business leaders of the world.

The conference is divided into three main parts; Scientific, Career and Science to Business Programme. The Unit for Bioentrepreneurship will be represented in all of these categories.

First out from UBE, on the 4th of July, 09.00 - 10.15 am, is Jessica Norrbom, Lena Hanson and Hanna Jansson, together with KI Career Service. They are organising the workshop "Free your mind and the rest will follow", where you will get the opportunity to develop your transferable skills with entrepreneurial tools. Guest speakers are Gene Russo, editor at Nature Jobs and Vanessa Campo Ruiz from the European Science Foundation who will share their experiences.

On the 5th of July, 09.00 - 11.45 am, Carl Johan Sundberg will be moderating the session "Innovation beyond the lab: sciences and the service sector". Carl Johan will also be a more active participant later that day at "A new model for bringing bioscience from the bench to the market" between 2.15 and 3.30 pm.

On the following day, the 6th of July, Danielle Lewensohn will host the session "Intellectual Property Management - strategies for optimal utilization of university assets". This session will provide you with an overview of the latest trends in intellectual property management, the key players on the IP market will offer some exclusive insights into real life cases. The session will also contain a panel debate, with debaters such as Jan de Visser, IP counseling and acquisition manager at Philips Electronics, Ben Goodger of Rouse and Stephen Potter, former chairman of the R&D society. This session will take place in the afternoon at 2.15 - 3.30 pm.

You will also have the opportunity to meet Carl Johan at Pizza with the prof on the 4th of July (registration for this event is necessary) and of course you will meet all of us in the KI booth in the exhibition area as well as at the ESOF 2010 Party later the same evening!

This is definitively a chance of a life-time, not just to meet us, but to meet all the people at ESOF, to build networks for the future and not least to have fun in a learning environment.
