A multivariate approach to behavioral studies in rodents

Department of Pharmaceutical Biosciences, research group of Neuropharmacology, addiction and behaviour at Uppsala University
Dr. Roman will give an overview on relevant aspects to think about in behavioural studies, introducing the multivariate test (the multivariate concetric square field (TM), MCSF) developed by her group. MCSF is an area designed to observe exploratory behaviour patterns, risk assessment and risk taking strategies in a novel environment. Prof. Roman will show how this approach has been using in behaviour animal research such as stress paradigms and alcohol preference studies.
