The Promo system

Denna sida på svenska

A promo (puff, advertisement) is used to emphasize any content on the website, for example, events, news and other pages. Promos can vary in numerous ways. They can also be placed in different blocks/sections, one after the other, to distinguish the type of content.

They can be placed in the middle of the page, 1, 2, 3 or 4 puffs in a row. They can be displayed with or without images. If you do not use images, a divider/dashes are shown above the promo. There are six different types of promos:

  1. Promo
  2. Promo banner
  3. Promo list
  4. Promo slide
  5. Promo video
  6. Automatically generated news and event promos

Promo slide

Promo slides can only be used on landing pages and are to be used primarily as a news promotion.

There are two types of promo slides that are slightly different:

The first promo slide follows the header width. If you have several promo slides on a landing page you can see the first promo slide and glimpse the others behind.

The second variant runs across the whole width of the screen (launched January 2016).

Here you need to have really good and high-resolution images. The image must be a minimum of 1600 px in width. To show a promo slide in this way, you'll have to make a setting on the landing page, see the section Landing page.

Show promo slides

Promo slides can only be placed on landing pages, see the section Landing page.

Automatically generated news and calendar promos

Instead of creating your own promos, you can easily download existing news articles and calendar events and show them on a landing page or a page. Like regular promos, you can choose whether they should to be 1/1, 1/2, 1/3 or 1/4 of the page. However, you can not decide how they look - it is predefined in the system.

Do like this:

  1. In the promo field, start typing in the title of the news or calendar event you want to show.
  2. Choose the one you want to show - be sure to select "News Article" or "Calendar event."
  3. Choose how to display the promo(s) in Display mode.
