Landing page

Denna sida på svenska

The page type landing page is used as the home page for e.g. the department's website. It can also be used in other areas where there is a great deal of information to be displayed, e.g. as an introduction to a subject area or large organizational units within a department.

When is the page needed? The function of the landing page is to provide an overview and to pass on visitors. Think of it as a airport gates.

Functions on the page: Promo slides or large picture, navigation to pages (links), different promos, news list, calendar list, promo videos, list of job vacancies.

Tip 1! Make a sketch of what the page should contain before you start, so that the lay-out is well thought out.

Tip 2! When you add promos, exercise care to ensure the placement always corresponds with the number of promos on the line (see View and publish promo). For example, if a promo has not been placed on a line where it has been specified that there should be 2, you may have problems to open the page for editing again.
