’Green light’ – approval of supervisor before a new doctoral project is initiated

Before a new doctoral project can be initiated, the KI department has to give its approval to the intended principal supervisor. Such routines exist today in some departments, but from 1 August this will be imposed everywhere.

If you have plans to recruit a new doctoral student you must contact your KI department for further instructions. Please note that this applies to all, even if the intended doctoral student is employed by SLL or has a scholarship.

‘Green light’ is a quality assurance tool to, early in the process, ensure optimal prerequisites for a good doctoral education.
