This lunch seminar will discuss two things. First, a plagiarism detection tool called iThenticate. Every thesis at KI are uploaded in to iThenticate and a report are sent to the Examination Board. Many journals are also using plagiarism this detection software. We will show you how the system works, how to upload a document and basic things about interpreting the report. Secondly we will discuss the phenomena of predatory publisher and put it into the context of choosing a journal to publish in.
