Adaptation is used to refer to situations where an employee has to change workplace under various circumstances, e.g. redundancy or illness. Adaptation involves adjusting to another job within or outside of KI.
In the event of redundancy due to a shortage of work, for example, an employee and manager may need support in order to handle the situation that arises.
There are guidelines for handling shortage of work at KI and Trygghetsavtalet (employment protection agreement).
The employment protection agreement is a collective agreement for the public sector, the purpose of which is to facilitate adaptation for the employer and personnel affected by redundancy.
