Since the start-up in 2010 StratRegen contributed to several top recruitments to Karolinska Institutet in the field of stem cell research and regenerative medicine, as well as provided support directed towards junior researchers in the field.

Support for junior researchers

During the years 2010 to 2015 StratRegen provided two forms of support to junior researchers, for example a career advancement award, and complementary research funding. The career advancement award was a two-year extension program for five leading junior group leaders at Karolinska Institutet. Complementary research funding was provided to three leading junior scientists working in the field of stem cells/regenerative medicine, who had been granted the junior career award from the Swedish Research Council.
