Are you a Gay/Bi/Queer Man?

We want to hear about your unique experience living as a gay/bi/queer man within the broader gay community in Sweden. Complete our survey about well-being, life circumstances, and experiences.

If you are a gay, bisexual or queer man 18 years or older, you are invited to participate in a follow-up research study designed to learn more about how stressors might influence the health of gay, bisexual, and queer men. The project is a collaboration between the Karolinska Institute and Yale School of Public Health. We will compare the results in Sweden and the US.

While it is clear that stigma and discrimination can influence the health of gay, bisexual, and queer men, more research is needed to understand how the gay community itself copes with that stress.

Procedures:
Participation in this study will involve an online survey, where you will be asked answer a series of questions about feelings, mood, and certain experiences being gay, bisexual, or queer. We anticipate that your involvement will require about 30 minutes.

If you agree to participate, you can decide to stop taking the survey at any time. You can also decide to skip any question that you don’t want to answer.

Keeping your information confidential is very important to our research team. All of your responses will be held in confidence. Only the researchers involved in this study and those responsible for research oversight will have access to any information that could identify you. When we publish any results from this study we will do so in a way that does not identify you.
