PHSP seminar: An Overview of Health Economics
The Doctoral Programme in Public Health Science (PHSP) welcomes all doctoral students and researchers at KI to our first seminar with Dr Jahangir A.M. Khan. The theme for PHSP's autumn seminars is Health Economics Research.
The seminar will cover basic health economics wherever applicable, for example demand and supply of health and healthcare, health care financing, income-elasticity in theory and practice among other components.
As a preparation all participants are encouraged to read the paper titled Is healthcare a 'Necessity' or 'Luxury'? - an empirical evidence from public and private sector analyses of South-East Asian countries, by Khan & Mahumud, as that will be discussed during the seminar.
