About me

  • Sebastian Gidlöf studied medicine at the Karolinska Institutet in Stockholm and obtained his medical degree in 2008. He defended his doctoral thesis in endocrinology at the Karolinska Institutet in 2013 and works as the Head of Department of Gynecology and Reproductive Medicine at the Karolinska University Hospital. He has received several research grants and was previously responsible for the course in Obstetrics and Gynecology for medical students at Karolinska Institutet. In 2016, Dr. Gidlöf received the NFOG Young Scientist Award and since 2014 he is a member of the editorial board of AOGS - Acta Obstetricia et Gynecologica Scandinavica. His research is primarily focused on translational and clinical studies in reproductive endocrinology and immunology and focuses on the physiology of the endometrium and its importance for pregnancy outcomes and disease development.
