Web editor of the Global Health, HIV and SRHR research group at the Department of Public Health (Global Health/ICHAR) as well as for some web sites outside of KI.
She has been a member of the Global Health, HIV and SRHR research group since 2012 after graduating from the Master’s course in Global Health. From 2013 to 2015 she worked as course assistant for the Global Health course, an elective cross program course at KI. She is also assisting Anna Mia Ekström with the course HIV – with focus on the individual from a global perspective.
Marie has been working with HIV/AIDS related issues since 2003, mainly within Swedish NGOs (Noarks Ark, 2003-2011 and HIV-Sverige 2012-2014) and mainly with prevention through information, education and communication. During her years at Noaks Ark she also worked with as project coordinator of two international collaborations, International AIDS Vaccine Initiative (IAVI) and International Partnership for Microbicides (IPM), advocating for AIDS vaccines and microbicides.
In the Global Health, HIV and SRHR research group her focus has been on HIV related issues within the area of women's and children's health and rights and specifically on prevention of mother to child transmission (PMTCT) and she has been working closely with Patricia Awiti.
